Engine oil protects your engine against wear, corrosion and the build- up of dirt and deposits.

Check the oil level on the dipstick every couple of weeks and before any long journey. Brand new oil is relatively clear and light amber in colour, but after a few minutes of use, it becomes much darker. If the oil looks dark or dirty, it may be time for a change.

For the right oil specification and the when to change the oil for your car, speak to an IMI approved technician.
